New Mexico based jewelry design, manufacturer and retail sales.
Role Summary:
Unique opportunity for someone who possesses superb strategic and creative design skills, proven business development support skills acumen, thrives in a team environment, all the while, exemplifies superior communication skills both relating to the beauty of a design as well as the technical elements of a design. Will work directly with our VP of Design to design and produce exceptional-quality, unique products on high-profile team within a high volume, and continuous multiple-deadline environment. Types of deliverables include: onscreen and print presentations, design briefs, design proposals, and other collateral, in both print and electronic formats. Will also maintain and increase awareness of our branding policies/updates and implement and oversee our corporate standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaboration:
Responsible for working with VP of Design and additional Designer‚s to effectively develop and deliver design projects.
Responsible for the creative aspects of the project as well as making sure it is completed on time.
Works with VP of Design and Director of New Product Development to ensure we are meeting all design needs.
Execution:
Must adhere to cost, scheduling, technical issues, and overall productivity of contractors, internal design staff, CAD, etc.
Coaches associates within company and communicate expectations for the collections and products to them.
Enforces policies and procedures to assure the design project is completed properly.
Incorporates customer and Customer‚s needs with effective design techniques, problem solving, and creativity to ensure satisfactory outcome.
Contributes to making project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost, scheduling, and performance.
Research:
Ability to study jewelry, fashion trends, analyze sales results and implement plans to incorporate into new designs for continued success.
Collaborate on and execute to the company vision for design direction for specific brand, by sketches, inspiration, stone palettes, pantone‚s used in fashion, leather, textile, and global trends.
Seek out new techniques and designing aspects in jewelry, shopping, traveling, and fashion.
Ability to direct new sourcing to look for new materials, secure reliable sources, and bring new items to the table for unique looks.

Carolyn Pollack/Relios uses the lost wax casting method and our current production rate is 125,000 components and 31,000 finished pieces of, sculptural metal and stone products per month. Products may have several complex components fitting together and functioning properly. Our run rate ranges from 500 to 15,000 finished pieces SKU.
Skills / Requirements
Basic Requirements:
BA/BS in a Design related field or other relevant field. 3-5 years of design management and at year of jewelry design experience preferred. Proven experience in understanding of design principles and fundamentals. Must be able to manage the full life cycle of design: from inspiration to production. A self-starter, results driven, exceptional initiative, high energy and a proven "do what it takes" work ethic. Passionate belief in not just being held responsible, but also being held accountable - accountable to all stakeholders, both inside and outside the company. Strategic thinker, grasps the "big picture" but not at the expense of the details. Appreciates the value in analyzing trends, spreadsheets, and knows "good data in" means good, effective data out. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite + Excel.
