Maroland, a key leader in home care services, has an immediate opening for a talented HR Assistant in the ABQ area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll/Accounting: Responsible for inputting all benefit and employee related data into DB system. Supplies HR or other members of management with any and all documentation regarding payroll, benefits, compensation, training or any other HR related issue as requested. Assists as necessary, in coordinating payroll and other accounting functions. Backs up Payroll on occasion.
Administrative: Tracks candidates and hires for a voluntary affirmative action annual report. Assists in contributing to employment related reports for Payroll and/or outside agencies. Generates all HR related documents, forms
Compliance: Charged with insuring all Maroland locations possess the most current employment posters, compliant forms, policies, forms and other employment related tools.
Training: conducts orientation of new hires, researches training topics and material. Assists HR Generalist in developing training topics.
Employee Relations: assists HR Generalist with discipline issues when requested, provide support and feedback to all parties involved.
Other Information: The major challenges of this position require someone with a keen ability to be self-directed, analytic, must be able to multi-task and problem solve and have very strong organizational skills. Must be able to establish and maintain excellent relationships with employees and candidates, other management members, other external organizations, such as clients, families and any other designated community based organizations as needed.
Skills / Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven knowledge of employment laws at federal, state, and local levels. 1+ year minimum of formal HR education/training.
Previous experience in a support role exhibiting high levels of organization, attention to detail, resourcefulness and self-reliance.
Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written). Ideal candidate will be bilingual: English/Spanish.
Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a supervisory role as well as non-supervisory staff.
Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible and nimble.
Strong knowledge of company guidelines, policies and procedures.
Proficient in all software programs used at Maroland including Microsoft Word, Excel, networking of systems, and other software programs.
H.S degree but AA or BA in Human Resources Management, Business, Communication and/or certificates in similar programs of study is a strong plus.
Will be integral component to a team-driven growing organization, must be flexible, adapt to change easily, easy to communicate with and enjoy home health and a busy office.
