Collaborate with colleagues to implement HR goals coordinating and delivering the required activities in order to meet Functional/Business Unit objectives.

.Implementing HR goals, processes, practices & systems to build organizational and people capability (i.e., staffing, performance management, training & development, employee relations)
.Implementing workforce planning and forecasting initiatives in alignment with site and corporate HR processes and goals
.Collaborating with site HR leadership in order to provide advice on HR, labor regulatory issues; providing coaching to leaders to support effective relationships with their employees
.Implementing cost effective and practical HR solutions while ensuring the ability to attract and retain required skills
.Implementing projects as directed by site HR leadership, facilitating change management, engagement, coaching and advising of stakeholders
.Utilizing corporate support resources to deliver tactical and operational support by ensuring effective delivery
.Implementing HR improvements as directed in order to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency in the site

Skills / Requirements

Qualifications

.Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of human resources experience, or professional-level operations experience, including significant human resources work, OR
.Post-secondary education and five (5) years experience in human resources management or other relevant discipline, plus one (1) year of human resources experience, or professional-level operations experience, including significant human resources work

Preferred Qualifications

.Experience working in employee relations in an industrial setting, preferably mining, construction or heavy manufacturing
.Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within the organization
.Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and time constraints
.Experience working in an HR Shared Services environment
.Experience using SAP

Criteria/Conditions

.Work is mostly performed in an office setting. Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting
.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see
.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds during the course of the workday
.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required
.Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold promotes a drug/ alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws
