PHYSICAL THERAPIST:
*Plans and evaluates patients' treatment programs in coordination with medical staff. Administers and clarifies treatment program per physician instructions. Recommends solutions to patient care problems. Discusses and confers with interdisciplinary treatments teams on patient care and treatment plans.
* Educates patients and family in proper care and use of various supports and exercise programs. Follows up with patients during treatment, explaining precautions to take.
* Evaluates charts and reports on patients' progress. Maintains patients' records, charts, and discharge summaries.
* Initiates charges to patients according to established procedures.
* Recommends physical therapy policies and procedures concerning services provided. Assists other therapists in planning treatment programs.
* Participates in performance improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control. Assists with data collection and prepares reports. Maintains patient statistics.
* Conducts and participates in clinic educational programs.
* As needed, takes call.
* Performs other functions as required.
OR
PT ASSISTANT:
* Performs direct patient care under the supervision of Physical Therapist per the orders/directions of physician. Performs designated modalities/treatments as per treatment plan.
* Performs departmental record keeping, enters patient charges as needed.
* Assists with patient/family teaching.
* Maintains unit in a clean and orderly manner. Keeps equipment in good working condition.
* Participates in performance improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control policies.
* Performs other functions as required.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. New Mexico License required. Less than one year experience is acceptable.
OR
PT ASSISTANT
Two to three years college level courses/Associate's Degree/Diploma in Physical Therapy. New Mexico License required. Less than one year experience in Physical Therapy Assistance.
