* Manages and coordinates the general ledger reporting and analysis, from the sources of data through the preparation of financial statements. Includes the verification and authentication of information received from the feeder systems, adjusting and reclassifying journal entries, the consolidation and publication of financial statements, and the preparation and distribution of various reports for the eight service lines .

* Assists and coordinates the preparation of the annual budget and capital plans with senior leadership and the identified functional areas.

* Conducts ongoing variance analysis and other operational support. Participates in the identification of opportunities for improvement and the preparation of corrective action plans as needed.


* Assists with development of policies and procedures for accounting issues.


* Provides assistance to senior leadership in the development of and preparation of managerial and productivity reports.

* Reviews adequacy of contractual allowances, bad debts, discounts and reserves for patient care related services.

* Assists in the conduct of the annual external audit including the preparation of required work papers.

* Assists in compliance reporting to governmental agencies and other third parties as necessary.

* Prepares financial analyses and projections to support new business initiatives and make/buy decisions.

* Directly manages all assigned staff in the execution of all accountabilities listed with in this document. Provides education/training/coaching for peers within the finance department, and other employees.

* Plans, coordinates and supervises the operational, personnel and financial activities for all assigned departments.

* Understands, embraces and practices the continuous quality improvement principles

Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or related field, with four to five years of health care accounting experience. Prefer CPA .
