HealthXnet, New Mexico‚s premier healthcare information clearinghouse, is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail oriented Operations Assistant to join our organization. Job responsibilities include monitoring customer and system utilization, assisting in system support and operations activities, and assisting with customer billing and reporting. The successful candidate will also assist with the development of HealthXnet sales and marketing materials and with testing and implementing new web-based services as needed.


Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Monitor daily automatic payer data loads to production database, manually load data when required.

2. Create and implement tools, processes and procedures to monitor customer utilization and proactively promote utilization of the system by current customers.

3. Provide level-two support to customers, and backup to customer support staff.

4. Assume role of HealthXnet‚s HIPAA Privacy Officer. Ensure that all HealthXnet policies and procedures adhere to the current Privacy Regulations.

5. Assist in the system-support and operations activities, including but not limited to, facilitating the resolution of payer data transfer and connectivity issues.

6. Assist with customer billing and month end reporting activities.

7. Assist in the development and maintenance of HealthXnet marketing and sales materials.

8. Assist in the development and distribution of HealthXnet marketing quarterly newsletters and partner health plan feedback reports.

9. Assist with the planning, development, testing, and implementation of new HealthXnet services as needed.

10. Develop and maintain relationships with assigned key customers.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and should be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel. General knowledge of information technology concepts and principles, medical patient registration, healthcare billing and revenue cycle, health plan provider relations, electronic file transfers, and software training/support experience are desired. Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy regulations is a plus.

Associates degree or at least three years of work experience, preferably in a customer training/support role and/or systems operations role in the healthcare industry is preferred. Work experience may be substituted for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Initiative, flexibility and self-motivation are essential.
