Albuquerque Job Corps is a Career Development Services System.
We are currently seeking a Recreation Assistant to assist the Recreation Manager in planning and coordinating the recreation/avocation program for Albuquerque Job Corps students. * Encourages student participation, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes in cultural and recreational activities.
Provides student instruction in developing and improving recreational/avocational skills.
Meets safety standards in every aspect of the above program.
Ensures student accountability.
Conducts new student orientation to the Recreation and Avocation program.
Maintains a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
Supports the Career Development Services System (CDSS) program.
* Supports and adheres to the Zero Tolerance Policy.
Supports PNC and positively confronts staff and students appropriately
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Skills / Requirements
High school diploma or GED plus two years experience in recreation; valid CDL drivers license or able to obtain a CDL. Must be American Red Cross certified swimming instructor.
