Jobing Description
Under direction and guidance of the CTO, creates, maintains, supports, troubleshoots and tests credit union systems and applications and common system files, control files, and product files. Tests all new releases, upgrades and updates to credit union applications. Maintains test bank. Collaborates with other application system owners on any program modifications, product additions or changes. Acts as a liaison between Line of Business units and technical support staff. Analyzes processes related to the use credit union applications to ensure the most efficient use of these systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Creates, maintains and supports key systems common system files, control files, and product files.
2. Troubleshoots core system credit union application, non-core business applications functional and user issues. Works closely with technical staff and vendors to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
3. Maintains and supports business applications.
4. Tests application updates and upgrades.
5. Maintains current credit union systems test bank with current common files and systems files.
6. Evaluates credit union application and application updates and upgrades for new or modified functionality. Works closely with operations and member facing areas to implement new or upgraded functionality.
7. Performs periodic process mapping analysis of processes to ensure that the credit union applications are being used in the most efficient manner.
8. Determines potential impact of program changes, common file and product file changes and acts as point of contact and communicates and collaborates with other product analysts, administrators and developers, and operational business units to ensure that potential impact is minimized.
9. Works closely with credit union business units to provide additional credit union products for members and otherwise assist in meeting member needs in the most efficient way possible using systems and applications.
10. Assists with complex research issues supporting operations staff.

Skills / Requirements
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Business, Information Systems or Finance or related field. or a combination of education and work experience. 10 years of directly related work experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
Work Experience: 2 years financial institution experience. 1 years loan or operations experience in a credit union/financial institution.
Skills:. Proficiency in supporting software applications both in the AIX and Client Server environments; ability to maintain systems files in an orderly and logical manner. Ability to understand complex business and customer operational requirements and determine the best software solution/functionality to meet those needs. Ability to work closely with Line of Business managers to determine software solutions that meet business needs; proficiency in communicating business needs to IT team members. Ability to act as a liaison between Line of Business managers and IT technical staff. Strong change management and project management skills required. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to interface with internal customers. Ability to work as a team player in a high paced environment. Must understand and be able to work within the guidelines of an end user Service Level Agreement. Project Management skills preferred.
Other Job Related Criteria: Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing technology and user requirements. Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary to complete projects during non-banking hours. Must be able to make appropriate decisions and determine when to escalate support in order to provide problem resolution within the framework of the Service Level Agreement.
Project a positive professional image and work in a team environment to deliver the highest level of customer service. Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to all KFCU locations when needed. Must support the goals and objectives of the Technology department and the core values and business goals of the credit union.
