Job Summary
Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an experienced Chief Information Officer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will direct development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) programs to support user group needs and requirements.  Provide strategic and tactical planning and evaluation of existing IT systems.  Oversee the integration of software systems site-wide.  Provide technological vision and leadership for NWP IT programs.  Provide strategic and technical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of information and technology systems.  Management of the WIPP Enterprise Architecture.  Report to the Business Manager and interface with all levels of personnel.  Make recommendations to senior staff as to the necessity of various software and the recommended replacement or elimination of the software.   Directs the Information technology cyber security oversight program to verify programmatic and statutory compliance in support of the WIPP mission.  Has working knowledge of system functions, cyber security policies, and technical cyber security measures to provide cyber security expertise for recommending the acceptance of risk for Government computing networks. Coordinate and provide support to all external Cyber Security oversight functions for the U.S. DOE and affiliates connected to the Government computing network.  Assess NWP/subcontractor compliance with DOE Orders and regulating documents.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a computer related field is required.
  • Fifteen (15) years of professional experience in IT services is mandatory.
  • Five (5) years of management/supervisory experience in the IT discipline is required.
  • Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications
  • DOE Contractor experience preferred.
  • DOE “Q” Clearance is preferred.
  • Experience working with DOE orders and requirements is desired.
  • Working knowledge of governmental IT requirements and commercial IT policies/procedures.
  • Experience and/or certification in DOE Project Management is a plus.
