Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an experienced Inspection, Testing & Maintenance Specialist in Carlsbad, New Mexico. 
The successful candidate will perform scheduled ITM work on a variety of fire protection systems at a Class 2 Nuclear/Class 4 Mining facility.  Work will include fire protection systems located in an underground mine and in surface facilities. Will assist in troubleshooting deficiencies of suppression and detection systems.  This position reports to the Site Fire Marshal within the Fire Protection Engineering Group.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline plus four (4) years of relevant experience in fire systems inspection, testing, and maintenance, or
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus eight (8) years of relevant experience in fire protection equipment inspection, testing, and maintenance.
  • Must be able to obtain NICET Certification in Water Based Systems, Alarm and Detection Systems, or Special Hazards within one (1) year of hire.
  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Fire Protection Level II or III Certification in any fire protection system category is a plus.
  • Previous WIPP experience is preferred.
