AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to thepharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.  The Albuquerque site is known for itsexcellence in manufacturing highly complex injectable drug products and theirexpertise in large-scale commercial production.

The General Manager of our Albuquerque location is an integral part ofthe AMRI team, contributing to our success by leading all facets of the site,the largest Drug Product site within AMRI.  The GM uses their leadership and experience to instill the highestcaliber of operational excellence, project and product delivery ensuring theimplementation of the business plan and guides the department leadership teamin the execution of business goals, with a focus on continuous improvement,high-quality standards, and the best-in-class customer satisfaction.

The GM works closely withthe global sales team and promotes and develops new lines of business for thisunit and is responsible for expanding revenue and profit generation through astrong retained and newly developed customer base, as well as through higher capacityutilization and appropriate and effective capital build out.

In this role, you will:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
  • Develop andexecute strategic, operational, manufacturing, quality and sales process plansthat ensure the reliable attainment of business and ultimate production anddelivery of the highest quality services and products at the lowest possiblenet cost.

  • Lead the planning, budgeting, profitabilityassurance, and cost monitoring of the site business.

  • Ensure aculture of continuous improvement and build a leadership team todevelop/execute operational excellence program

  • Ensurecompliance with applicable regulatory, inspection and compliance programs andstatutes. Instill culture of uncompromising and consistent setting andupholding of the highest standards.

  • Oversee,through department leaders, implementation of effective customer projects.

  • Participatein establishing a sales and business development plan and executing such withthe business development team that assures that customers are aware of AMRI’scapabilities.

  • Ownership ofsite engineering, equipment purchase and maintenance, utilities, facilities andassociated capital expenditure planning and execution. 

  • Responsiblefor the development of staff, including performance management for directreports and instilling this ethos throughout the site.
