General Purpose:

To provide technical support and maintenance as directed in respect to process control management systems, related networks and related technologies. To support the corporate network, and to maintain communications, office equipment, network, and software that is required for day-to-day operations.


The responsibility of this position is to maintain a quality product while completing all assigned master sanitation. The holder of this position must follow all GMP, HACCP, safety, and all other regulatory and plant policies and procedures.


The position must achieve all goals or report and document all reasons targets are not met. The position is expected to promote safety, maintain a sanitary food environment, and strive to improve product quality.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the process and control systems including the plant IT systems for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Operates the system to support company operations and service in the most efficient manner and modifies infrastructure as needed to give maximum support.
  • Maintain process system applications using PLC and HMI technologies.
  • Maintain, implement and commission software on PLC and PC based automation systems with particular focus on Advanced Process Technologies and Automation Systems networks.
  • Provide engineering skills to support the development of processes, networks and network management systems
  • Provide technical and process computing knowledge for the advancement of Plant Process management
  • Assist in the evaluation of process management systems and related architectures.
  • Provide technical computing skills to assist the implementation of intranet strategies
  • Undertake specific tasks and studies as assigned.
  • Willingness to be on call and to work long hours if necessary in case of serious network malfunction.
  • Ability to work with both technical and nontechnical personnel to solve network problems;
  • Good understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues using RSLogix 5, 500 and 5000, RSView, RS Networx.
  • Understand basic electrical and be able to troubleshoot problems within PLC Panels.
  • Work with other personnel to commission and troubleshoot new project installs.
  • Be able to read various blueprints (Electrical, P&ID's, One lines, Mechanical drawings).
  • Communicate in a team environment.
  • Properly prioritize issues and take personal accountability to make sure all repairs fit the core value of "excellence"
  • English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer Science Degree preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have good work history. Training will be provided
  • Experience in IT department environment;
  • MSOFFICE / Excel skills required;
  • Network experience required;
  • Organized, self motivated;
  • Drug testing / background must be cleared.
