The Quality/Risk Coordinator performs a variety of duties that support the activities within the Compliance/Risk and Quality/Regulatory departments. Assists the CQO, Director of Quality Regulatory and Risk Management to ensure continuous quality improvement and organizational excellence. Supports the quality function by promoting, adherence with all regulatory, compliance, accreditation, and legal issues. Additionally promotes a safe environment for all employees, patients and visitors. Support Quality/Regulatory with reports of risk issues, and infection control.
The Coordinator will have responsibility for assisting departments with implementing and managing clinical improvement initiatives of GRMC, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting improved healthcare outcomes. This individual is also responsible for the hospital’s policy management system. Under the direction of the CQO, the Quality/Risk Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring, organizing and assisting with directing process improvements that support the reduction of risk, medical errors, and other factors that contribute to adverse patient outcomes. He/she coordinates systems necessary for identification, evaluation, monitoring, reduction and/or elimination of patient harm and professional / general liability risk exposures, under the direct supervision of Risk Manager and Quality/Regulatory Directors. The Coordinator works collaboratively with staff and hospital leadership to promote optimization of quality patient outcomes and hospital goals in a high reliability environment. Proven ability to manage processes with excellent follow-through.
Minimum 2-year college degree. Prefer Bachelor’s degree.
Clinical RN with strong organizational skills.
Must possess strong knowledge of executive office administration as normally obtained through 1-2 years experience in a healthcare, paralegal, managed care, executive assistant or legal support.
Experience in quality/risk/compliance x 1 year minimum preferred.
Minimum 3 years clinical or hospital operations experience required
Excellent computer skills (MS Outlook/ Word/ Excel/ Power Point/ Meditech)
Experience with data analysis and reporting required
