Archaeologist to condjuct surveys and monitoring on the Navajo Nation
Applicant will have the experience necessary to be listed on Navajo Nation, federal, and various state permits and can demonstrate a strong understanding of Section 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The ideal applicant will be a team player that has participated in numerous large-scale surveys, testing and excavation projects. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a high level of organization and effectively communicate ideas and processes.
- Must be able to hike in remote conditions
- Experience in conducting fieldwork on the Navajo Nation. Capability to be permitted as an archaeologist on the Navajo Nation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Skills with GPS, GIS, MS Office
