  • Overview

    The Clinical Equipment Technician (CET) provides clerical and administrative support for TRIMEDX staff. The CET manages all aspects of scope service as their primary duty. Secondary duties include various administration duties as needed and described under responsibilities. This position acts as a resource for associates, provides database support, and professionally represents TRIMEDX in all interactions by demonstrating a commitment to the TRIMEDX vision, mission, and core values.

    Responsibilities

    Scope and Ultrasound Probe Support (75%)

    • Manage all aspects of scope and ultrasound probe service
    • pick up and drop-off of scopes being repaired to departments
    • opening and closing scope work orders
    • scheduling scope repairs with vendor
    • boxing up and shipping out scopes
    • receiving in scopes
    • identifying damage and marking work orders as billable
    • educating departments about damage identified and how to avoid
    • identifying trends in scope repairs and informing leadership about recommended changes needed and improvements
    • constant communication to departments on status of scopes being repaired and if delays have occurred in return of equipment.

    Administrative Support (25%)

    • Provide clerical and administrative support for staff
    • Act as a primary liaison between TRIMEDX staff, departments, and others; serve as receptionist when necessary
    • Organize and develop information and materials necessary for meetings, special projects, presentations, and reports
    • Pick up and drop off packages for CE
    • Prepare equipment and parts for shipping
    • Review and investigate repairs over 14 days to report on causes
    • Compile data for routine and special reports, utilizing word processing, basic spreadsheet applications, charts and graphs, and database software
    • Act as a data resource and assist other departments and
    • Distribute Device Could Not Locate (CNL) messages to department heads as needed
    • Initiate special projects as needs arise
    • Participate in obtaining information for quality surveys
    • Direct light deliveries to proper areas; assist in the coordination of ordering, shipping, receiving, tracking, and distribution
    • Reconcile invoices and submit for processing
    • Assisting Trimedx Technicians with entering equipment records and tagging equipment
    • Performing inventory verification as needed with Trimedx technicians

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

    • High school or equivalent degree required; associates degree preferred
    • Minimum 1 year office experience providing clerical and administrative support
    • Experience in OR or medical inventory management preferred

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
    • Ability to manage time and set priorities amidst multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Ability to work effectively with other team members
    • Strong interpersonal and telephone skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to educate and correct professionally
    • Detail oriented
    • Self starter and independent worker
