Position Summary

UNMTemps, the University of New Mexico's internal temporary staffing department, seeks temporary Office Assistants to join UNM's Mentoring Institute for its 2019 Mentoring Conference from October 18 - 25.

Duties of the Office Assistant will include:

  • Introducing the presenter(s) of the session
  • Facilitating presentation setup (tablet and projector)
  • Starting/ending sessions on time
  • Handing out and collecting session’s evaluations

Technical related duties are as follows:

  • Photography/videotaping
  • Providing AV and computer technical support (troubleshoot Surface tablets, projectors, PowerPoint, internet connection)

**Work hours at the Mentoring Conference will range between 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. Specific work hours will be determined and assigned on an as needed basis.

Assignment Details:

Days & Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Anticipated Start Date: 10/18/2019

Projected End Date: 10/25/2019

Parking Arrangements: Responsibility of the selected employee

UNMTemps provides staffing solutions to UNM departments requesting temporary employees as positions become available due to a vacancy, when regular employees are absent, for peak work periods, and for special events. As such, UNMTemps assignments/positions may end with little or no advance notice.

  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; no previous experience required.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to work with Microsoft Office - Powerpoint.
  • Able to work with laptops and projectors.
