Job Title: Open Rank: Family Medicine/Maternal and Child Health Faculty
The Department of Family and Community Medicine seeks a family medicine physician with special interest and training in Maternal and Child Health for a faculty position at the University of New Mexico. This includes an inpatient focus for MCH and outpatient work with family medicine. Functions as attending physician on the model Family Medicine Maternal and Child Health service, University Hospital newborn service (level one) and University Hospital intermediate care nursery (level two). The education focus includes teaching UNM medical students, UNM Family Medicine residents, Family Medicine MCH fellows and residents in pediatrics and Ob/Gyn. UNM MCH has a strong community based focus with partnerships with the community such as Indian Health clinic, Urban Indian Clinic and rural family medicine practices. Abundant research opportunities are available if interested. Clinical focus areas in MCH include perinatal substance abuse, family planning and school based health.
