Position Summary

The Division of Pulmonary Medicine, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a research coordinator for a 5-year multi-institutional NIH-funded project. The responsibility includes total fiscal, operational, and administrative management of the funded scientific, research, educational, and service-related program; to plan, implement, and maintain data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocol; may coordinate the collection and analysis of research data; ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities; act as the primary administrative point of contact for internal research staff and as the principle operational liaison for other research organizations, funding agencies and regulating bodies; and provide administrative and fiscal support to investigators and research staff; establish budgets and financial reporting procedures, and monitor and control expenditure; and to supervise students hired to support this position.

Conditions of Employment
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Additional health screenings may be required, dependent on the nature of the research conducted, as determined by Employee Occupational Health Services.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
