Position Summary

The University of New Mexico, College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences (CULLS) has an opening for a full time Technical Support Analyst 3 to join the Library Information Technology Department. We are responsible for supporting enterprise-wide mission-critical solutions associated with CULLS core teaching and learning mission. These include supporting of video conferencing, digital signage, and classroom/conference room related audio-visual technologies, SharePoint, and Workstation Management.

The successful candidate will have a combination of strong technical, communication, and organizational skills; excellent problem-solving skills; solid end-user documentation skills, and experience with working in a technical support center. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with hardware and software vendors, as well as having strong hardware and software skills. Preferred candidates have experience troubleshooting end user issues with accessing and using technology. Candidate must be comfortable using a variety of tools and techniques, including phone, e-mail, knowledge-base and trouble ticketing applications. Good customer service skills a must as this position provides in-person help and training. This position may occasionally work evening and weekend hours and may be responsible for the leadership of lower graded staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with media technologies related to: Media technology automations solutions for such as vendors as Crestron, Extron, Polycom, etc.
  2. Hardware installed in physical spaces of various sizes from small group collaboration rooms to large multi-display presentation rooms.
  3. Hardware to support web/audio conferencing in group environments.
  4. Web conferencing technologies such as Skype for Business, and Zoom.
  5. Experience with general desktop support in a managed environment using systems management tools such as LANDesk, ZENworks, SCCM, etc.
  6. Experience with SharePoint.
  7. Experience managing Apple Macs.
  8. Familiarity with writing or creating technical documentation and presenting or communicating technical information to non-technical users.
